Benito and Valentín complement each other perfectly. They both sit at the table to eat; Benito drinks the wine, Valentín the soft drink. Valentín prefers the chicken breast and Benito says the drumstick is tastier. When they finish eating, Benito removes the dishes and Valentín dusts off the tablecloth. Then, in the warm kitchen, they get ready to enjoy the best part of the day. Valentín opens a book and starts reading. Benito listens to him attentively, barely blinking, as if he could see in Valentín"s face the most fascinating creatures and the most incredible adventures imaginable. Benito can"t read. Benito is Valentín"s grandfather. The characters in the stories they read are almost always children, there are never any elderly people in them. Benito doesn"t like this because the elderly are important, and since he is no ordinary grandfather, he makes sure that this situation is amended.
