Description

Lautaro was a happy boy until the arrival of the Spanish turned his world upside-down. The invaders killed his father, made him their prisoner, and forced him to work as Pedro de Valdivia’s horse groomer. Lautaro never forgot his Mapuche origins, however, and as soon as he could he escaped to fight against the Spanish. This is the story of his life, his battle, and his death.
