Antonia y la niña deben partir, también su familia. No solo esa familia, deben partir varias. ¿Por qué? Pasa algo que no está explícito en el libro, solo es claro que deben irse. Los niños llevan a sus mascotas; los adultos, lo necesario para navegar, cruzar la selva y encontrar un nuevo lugar donde vivir.
