On May 27, 1937, a group of 456 boys and girls boarded the ocean liner Mexique, which set sail from Bordeaux for Mexico. They were scheduled to remain there for three or four months, but they did not count on the republican defeat or the start of the Second World War, two episodes that transformed their exile into a definitive one. The "children of Morelia" never returned to their homeland, and if they did, several decades later, they found a country, brothers and landscapes that they no longer recognized. This book tells the story of a ship, knowing that there is no record of all those who cross the ocean every day, transferring human beings who have the right to a dignified life without the land falling apart under their feet.
